About The Daily Word

The Daily Word (TDW) was started by Jerome Case in 2002 as a weekly email distributed on Monday’s to a small group of folks. In 2003 TDW evolved into a five day a week online post on a Hip-Hop website. To meet the daily demand for variety, TDW started incorporating various Spirit filled devotionals and scriptures. In addition to using distinguished authors and the Bible, Jerome began writing his own Holy Spirit lead devotionals. Additionally, to make TDW a unique experience he occasionally added personal commentaries and prayers to make TDW more intimate for the readers. In 2004 he accepted the call to vocational ministry, left the online community in 2005 and began to expand the email distribution list of the TDW aggressively. As such, TDW has become a full-time ministry dedicated to serving and meeting the needs of God’s people.

Vision

To help all people go deeper, grow wiser and experience an inspired spiritual relationship with the Lord Christ Jesus.

Mission

To provide an inspired online devotional that is God centered and devoted to ministering to the hearts and spirits of all readers.

Declaration of Faith


I believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I believe that the Bible is God's inspired authoritative, errorless written revelation.

I believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and died on the cross to provide redemption for humankind, he was resurrected, ascended into heaven and intercedes for us until His return to earth.

I believe in the Holy Spirit and that He performs the miracle of the new birth in unbelievers and dwells within all believers enabling them to live godly lives.

I believe humans were created in God’s image, but sin has alienated man from God. This alienation can only be overcome by confessing Jesus Christ is Lord and savior of one’s life.
